Hey. Yep, I'm new. I've been photoshopping for a year ...wait, yeah.

And I'm 11 too so if you think i'm a dumbass, don't because people in my grade can't even type let alone photoshop, know some html, know how to make animations and make their own websites.

I've been using this photoshop thing for a year+ but my problem is, is that I have no clue what photoshop i'm using. I asked my brother's friend but he said he'd never heard of it. It doesn't exactly seem like such a horrible thing but the thing is, is that I constantly do photoshop tutorials. And for like half of them, I don't even have the right tools. Yeah.

My whole thing with this is that I might post some of my crap on here for people to make suggestions but I know i'll be extremely confused if they're talking about something i'm real unfamiliar with. Like the whole pen tool thing, I sorta have an idea what it is but my computer doesn't have it.

If you were wondering this ps came on my computer...yea..I'm too broke to go out and buy anything either. Anyway, thanks a lot.

First off, it's good to see that you want to extend your field of interest to include a CG programs such as Photoshop. Now go legal. Get a student version for a significant price reduction and the upgrdes will be a piece if cake.

The pen tool is probably the most questioned, along with masking, aspect of PS that is asked. I hate to tell you to Google it, but... Google it, a quadrillion hits.

You have Photoshop Elements.
It's a vamped down version of the full program. But it still has some good features. Paths however isn't one of them.

Go check on Adobe's site for a specific feature list of that version.

It is a very powerful app for its price, especially the latest versions.

Have you searched the net for "photoshop elements tutorials"?
