That glass cup! [saywhat]
That lady! [saywhat] [saywhat] [saywhat]
OMG!
Haven't found a Chinese translator, but take a look at this: http://www.geocities.jp/real_trace/
Found this link off the highside gallery.
Some really good ones in here and some not-so-good, but the one that I'm not sure about is the cat. There is no zoom on that one and it just looks to good to be drawn.
absolutely amazing work. I've seen a lot of 'Illustrator' illustration over the years and this is undoubtedly some of the best. Mucho kudos. Hope he's (she's) employed and makin' the big bucks. Now someone explain something to me, because right now I'm pretty dumb. What am I looking at? If these are illustrations done from scratch then I'm quitin'. Or are they tracings that have been enhanced? I can't see how those wireframes (?) are of any value for texturing. \:/ You can't tell me that some of these aren't 'just' photos. Not being able to read the site really inhibits me from understanding the value of it.
I looked at the vanvan image and wow! that girl is very realistic although i have some reservation if the face is vector or not. but the body is definitly vector. It a japanese site by the way base on the characters on the menu of the illustrator.
Check www.juniatwork.com too. it was all done in Flash at least i think it is. If you look far a distance some of the works are very realistic. I can't imagine how the guy managed to do that with just the Flash. So if this guy manage to make a realistic photo out of vector i don't see why the japanese guy can't although i really like to know how he did it

I was wondering the same thing Ron. Some of those I can tell they're illustrated, at least parts of the image, which look either texture-less or kinda flat and funny looking. But some I just can't see any part that would tell me that it's not a real picture...like the baseball glove...@#%*! The texture on the bottom of the leather straps and the wrinkles on the skin...how the heck do you do that with vectors!?!?!
