Default Question on Counting Pixels

Hello,
I've been scouring the net for a way to count the number of pixels of a specific color in an image.? I've only found one program that seems to be able to do it.? It's called Pixel Informer by Blueprint Software.? I don't know if Blueprint Software doesn't exist anymore or what, but I can't seem to find a place to either download it or buy it.? Does anyone know if Photoshop of any other program is able to do this?? Here is a link with a short description of what Pixel Informer does:

http://www.blueprint-software-s-pixe...-download.com/

Here is a sample image of what I'd like to be able to either count the pixels of each color, or find percentages of each color. There would be a maximum of 10 different colors.

Thanks for any help

I think you could do it right in Photoshop with a little figuring. If you only have 10 colors, I presume you will be using the Indexed Color... Image Mode. It would limit the number of specific colors.

Open the expanded Histogram palette. Slowly move your cursor over the histogram image and you will see the exact numbers of pixels in the info for each of the colors. You will have to know which level is which color but that should be easy to pick out with your color picker and the info palette.

Does that help?

Furthermore! I knew there was something lurking on the periphery of my conscious. Here it is... the answer to your needs, I believe. Reindeer graphics has provided Wide Histogram as a free plugin for Photoshop. It basically does what the PS Histogram does but is much larger (up to 1024 px wide) shows it in color etc.
