I played with the slice tool and ended up with icons that don't go away

Hi,

I played with the slice tool and ended up with two little icons in the top left hand corner of all my pictures that I open.? The first one contains "01" and the second one is a rectangle with what looks like a graph inside.? Clicking on them does nothing to get rid of them.? How do I correct this?

You get rid of these icons by View/Extras then clicking on the checkmark. If you then go under Show you will see options to disable the various extras.
