I think that I'm starting to be the resident site nag. Todays "rag" is that when I post a reply, the board sends me into the room of the original post. For example, if I pull up the latest posts, and respond to something in Techniques (or whatever), when I hit POST, it sends me to the Techniques room instead of back to the Latest posts or even the same thread.
I'm using Firefox on an XP box, if that is of any value. \:/
That's not a glitch, that's just the way this forum seems to behave after a post is made.
I don't care for it myself actually. I'd rather be taken right back to the thread i just posted in (like phpBB does). I'm not sure if there's a way to change this behaviour though. I'll look into it though when i get a minute (unless someone else cares to go search the SimpleMachines.com site for an answer).
I'll reheck the forum admin control panel to see if there's a default option i can change.
If i find anything i'll post a notice about it in the header News section atop the pages.

The same exact thing was happening to me also, but the other day I stubled across a setting in your user profile. Just go to 'look and layout preferences' and check the 'return to topic after posting by default' box....ta da!

I looked but found not this option in the Admin CP. That seems kinda lame if you ask me. I'll look again though now that i know specifically what the option is.
