I couldn't really figure out where to post this, sorry if it is totally misplaced.

I have got the job of my dreams and one of the things I want to do is to stay updated on software and the market in general (I missed the Adobe Macromedia merge for instance)

Is there any good news-site, blog or similar where I can get the info on such matters, Multimedia in general?

I don't know of a single site but if you happen to use a Mac, http://www.macsurfer.com gives you a digest of all the new articles around the web on a daily basis. Though it is Mac-centric it deals with computer information in general.

And every month, I use to buy 2 or 3 magazines... Each time I'm abroad, I look for local magazines, mostly to look at the designs they show.

I used to buy Computer Arts each month.
Lately i have started to buy it online, not so regular as I used to.
Imported magazines in Norway are extremely expensive (often twice the price) and I haven't had the funds to subscribe for a while.
Norway does not have any good magazines for us. A swedish version of Cap&Design is often bought though, I does not know how it compares to the english version.

I'm in front of the computer quite often during the day and I realized that online resources should be tracked down. Something to do while I have my cup of coffee in the morning.

That wasn't so easy and I am very satisfied with the links provided.
