Hi smdubin,

My only mental references to the term 'highlander' are Scottish Highlanders, Toyota Highlanders and the bridge pickups for acoustical guitars and bass. Are any of those your subject matter?

A quart of Glenfinnan and a DVD rental will do you wonders. And if not, try another DVD.

Aha! I've never seen one of the Highlander movies. Your best bet would be to pick some element of the movies which you are capable of drawing/painting and use that as the basis for your poster. Study the fonts used in the credits and so forth and use something similar. Do not use any images which have possible copyright infringement issues but create something completely original. Outside of those guidelines, SCync's rather facetious comment isn't far off.

Our ideas would be complementary with our skills to create them, as must your's. Knowing nothing of your skill set, we couldn't really begin to provide any specific ideas.

Trying to be original is difficult and a waste of time. To find a good idea just go to the nerest movie rental store and look at all the movie covers and find one or several that your like. Don't copy the images or anything copyrited but look at layouts, designs, etc. Take several ideas and combine them together to come up with something new instead of disigning from scratch. That's how I would do it.
btw, why a Highlander movie? I saw one and never watched any again. But, even if the movie sucked the poster doesn't have too.

Default started thinkin bout some ideas

one idea is a close up of an eyeball. in the pupel you see everything that connor mcleod has experienced. around it are roman numerals. basically it's from connor mcleods P.O.V. in the eyeball part are lighting bolts. below , text will say " in is eyes time's almost up : highlander. another idea is to show an hour glass with sand filling up. being drowned by the sand is conner mcleod. there will be a bunch of lightining bolts inside and below it'll say time is running out. i also thought of a poster where the world is being distroyed but somehow connor is still standing. do any of these ideas have potential?

They all have great potential -- I kinda like the pupil idea myself.
