I would like to know how to creat those two text effects ? , 2nd one is easy but 1st one has great shadows and lights , did they use dodge and burn tool on that ? It's sooo real
The top one is 3D I'm pretty sure. It would be a good PS challenge though. I love the 'S' it's sweet, since I LOVE metal and chrome! %}
Sry, but I don't how to do the S in PS....yet. :sneaky:
I have to agree with p?tr??k on this one. It was a 3D render. My conclusion is drawn from the radius at the ends of the slots cut into the S, the radius at the bottom of the S where it meets the 'block' and the reflections which are distinctly ray-traced to my eye. It's a great graphic!
I know nothing about 3d programs... (many people here are talented on a variaty of programs), so i tried to see what I could make with PS.
I found an "S" then transformed it...made a copy layer of it.
- Then I selected the "S" by ctrl click the thumbnail in the layer pallete.
- click the "move tool", then hold the alt key and press the up arrow to make the thickness.
Then I grabbed the first layer and put it on top of the stretched layer.
I added styles out the kazooo, on both the top and bottom layer.
I typed it then transformed....The type I think is "Georgia"
The style is very long with specialty curves etc..
I think I downloaded it from "Adobe Studio Exchange", that is were I get most of my styles.
Go to the exchange, the Photoshop style part and enter a search for CHROME..
They have alot of them...
The one I used came in a file called "MYCORT1" and the name of the style is "shiny metal"..
I tried a quick look for it but didn't find it...its definetly there I just could find it.
Those people that post on the Adobe Studio Exchange are very talented!
Good luck sorry I couldn't take you straight to it.
