The government left the Church pick up the tab for education for long enough, so when overcrowding happens you can't blame the Church for saying: Catholics first.
Not only can racism be ruled out but IMO religious discrimination can also be ruled out. Is it really discrimination for an organisation to cater to it's own members first? And it is only where there is overcrowding that this happens.
Bertie Ahern is clearly to blame anyway!

unfortunalty true, but quite strange, when you consider the amount of irish people who migrated to other nations.
to my shame i must admit both my grandmothers are both very racist, and quite xenophobe, despite the fact half their family arent even irish
