I've never had problems with belkin. I've never used one either, mind you.

I'm using a Belkin N1 wireless router. Only needs the occasional reboot.
Make sure you have rebooted your PC, wireless router and router.
With most Belkin routers I've used, you need to clone the MAC address. Instructions on that will be in the manual or on the website.

when rebooting the PC, router and modem, make sure they have been turned off for around a minute - if you don't have them switched off for long enough, it sometimes doesn't work.

Is the ETH/ACT/LAN light lit?
Is the ADSL/LINK light lit?
Is it a ADSL Modem + Wireless + Router or just a Wireless + Router?
Did you read and follow the manual/quick setup guide?
