How happy are you, with your teams' transfer window signings?
Just reading a report on BBC Sport about the football spending over the summer, and got me thinking about how happy some teams would be with the signings. Obviously it's still early days for them in terms of how they've bedded in and performing, but there's an inkling of a fair idea around. The thing that got me thinking about this really was United. They've looked fairly toothless so far and do seem to be lacking a striker - plenty of forwards, only the one (perennially injured) striker. Would United fans be dissapointed at the lack of cover for Saha? As good as Tevez/Ronaldo/Rooney may be, they may struggle to perform as the main striker (or at least have their effectiveness vastly diminished).
Undeniably we've strengthened, in every department. There's better cover for positions (and competition!), more creativity, better wide players, and the "cherry on the cake" if you will in the top scorer in EPL over the past 4 seasons still plying his trade here. Not for a bad outlay either, considering we've mainly bought from English teams and brought in a couple of really promising Englishmen. The only complaint I'd have is the lack of a genuine classy midfielder for the middle, to take the weight off Arteta's shoulders, although Gravesen may suffice in the short-term, and Pienaar does give a bit of class on the outside.

Yea, happy with ours (Man Utd). Like Acou said though getting rid of both Smith and Rossi at the same time wasn't so good. We needed a more defensive midfielder and we got exactly that in Hargreaves. The others, Nani/Anderson more for the future, when they will turn out fb.
Now I know Tevez is quality (and still isn't fit/settled) but I would have preferred a main striker to come in, instead of another who drops deep most of the time. However, saying that the only real option would have been Fernando Torres or maybe Huntelaar.

Would have been perfect if we'd brought in a right back, but Im happy with what we got. A better goalkeeper (Carson), pacy centre back (Davies), tall centre back (Knight), a dominating and mobile central midfielder ((Reo-Coker) and cover for Carew (Harewood). Also signed a complete unknown in Salifou, but everyone gets them from time to time.
