Happy.
Trundle - fb. I want to get on his back for standing still with his hands on his hips, and then he'll go and set up/ score the winner.
Ellliot - Teh awesome. Has been immense every game. Always running, great tackler, works hard for 90 minutes. Haven't seen the sort of player since Tommy Doc.
McIndoe - The very fact that he's a naturally left-sided player makes him better than anyone else we've got by default, but I'd like to see a little more effort from him. Hasn't taken hold of games like he should.
Sproule - Changed the game off the bench v Man City, and that's all I've seen of him. Got high hopes though, nice to have someone pacey upfront.
Vasko - Looked a bit off the pace in his first few games, hasn't featured since. Might just need time to adjust, I guess, but I've been dissapointed given his Hungarian International, Captain Of His Old Team billing.
Byfield - Was surprised he wasn't in the squad v Wednesday, like the look of him though. Has scored some cracking goals in his time. We needed another striker so happy to get him.

Only player we've signed since season started is Bean on loan.
Seems to be the best player in the team so far.

Pretty good effort from Coventry and Dowie, considering the financial circumstances. We've brought in a lot of average Championship players - but that's an improvement on what we had last season. Complete dross like Whing, Birchall and Page have been shifted out, and replaced by decent players like Borrowdale and Julian Gray. Good strength in depth and only really the right-back position that's weak - although we have a fb one in McNamee if he can stay fit.
The most exciting signing is probably goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos from Hartlepool. He had a big hand in their promotion last year and has looked fantastic so far this season. Robbie Simpson has potential as well.

didn't think Sunderland fans would be saying yes tbh. They really should be saying no.
