i was thinking mostly of the miss dynamite award, which is especially mindboggling when you consider she was up against probably the best coral album, the best roots manuva album and the first streets album.

i don't really gaf if it's her natural voice or not, it still makes me cringe. likewise, i don't care how old she is if the lyrics make me cringe.
plus my sister and all her mates are 19 and HATE her for the exact same reasons i mildly dislike her.

haha i like that roni size album, but no way is it better than ok computer.
also, talvin singh beating the chemical brothers' surrender was a bit stupid. they clearly just wanted to prove how 'diverse' they were, but should have waited a year because nitin sawhney's beyond skin was a better album anyway.
still, m people beating the prodigy, blur and pulp has to be an all time low for any award ever.

I actually quite like the track off the latest Dizzee Rascal album with her on it (despite the rest of the album being absolute ****). But she should stick to novelty songs like that and her stuff instead of trying to sing.
Wonder if Various Productions' album is eligible. THAT would be an excellent selection.
