the gf likes her, so i've put some effort in with the choons i've heard, but i just can't stop cringing at the accent and the lyrics. especially the lyrics.

aren't simian mobile disco french? or belgian?
just looking back over the last few years shortlistsd despite the mercury website being written in flash. some of the past awards are beyond belief.

And Fieild Music for the cirtical bumming but it wouldn't win - not that I've heard it. :cool:

| I quite like the lyrics. She's a 19 year old girl, and she's writing stuff that I'm sure a lot of people her age can empathise with.
And if the accent was put on then the principle would perhaps annoy me, but that's completely her natural voice.

I would have said Gomez beating Oasis in 94 was a bit of a shock before I listened to the Gomez album, but its good.
