It's fairly old (I think it's been superceded now) but it's highly regarded and considered a 'classic' camera. Many people say it's actually better than it's successor (400D?)

Definitely worth trying it out.

I was just about to say the same about the 400D... </BLOCKQUOTE>
Oops - my post above was typed before I saw this.

My boss just bought a 400D and he's more of a camera geek than me... and he loves it so it must be pretty darned good too.

Lots of people like the 350D because it's a solid model. Can't compare them personally as the 400D is my first foray into Digital SLR. Previous camera was a Minolta A1 Dimage, which was a hybrid. Minolta's technology was top class, which is presumably why Sony bought the company.

What happens to the fly now, it hardly eats it does it?

Can you get any differant type of fly trap that is much quicker or anything?
It produces digestive acid to kill it and then dissolve it.

The EOD350 and 400 bodies were too small for me, so I ended up with the Nikon D70S. Had it for a few years now and a great DSLR.

Having said that, the best carnivorous plant is that one which is like a throat - the insect teeters around the the rim of the 'throat' trying to get nectar but if it strays off of the rim it ends up falling into an abyss of digestive acid.

Ah that makes sense. Would it "bite" if you were to put a piece of meat in it's "mouth" or something like that?

Yes, it has sensory hairs on the inside of the 'mouth' - if they detect anything it will close...if it feels the insect/object struggling it closes even tighter.

In a recent Which? report, the Canons and Nikons pretty much owned all.
