Doctors :thdn:
| they routinely discharge patients they know will die, sadly they no longer see patients but see beds and ££££

this thread makes me so angry
my nan died this morning, whats wrong, you're surprised a 92 year old man with an inoperable condition is allowed to leave a hospital as soon as possible to be in a comfortable position and be allowed to die?
so happy for my nan, finally out of the pain of old age

| No, I'm upset that a doctor swanned in, sent my 89 year old grandmother into hysteria by declaring he was about to die, and now it appears not to be the case. Maybe. Nobody can tell us.
Sorry about your nan, and Russ'. I just wish the doctors in the public system would spend a bit more time with patients before making sweeping statements that turn out to be wrong. Maybe.
That's all.

I must also disagree with the thread title.
My grandma suffered for 3 weeks before she died and is now at peace. If I was her doctor I would have increased her morphine dosage to allow her to pass quickly and peacefully.

well if anything life ifs, because these things happen, its not like the doctor can give that news and not make your nan upset, but im sure he'd prefer to die this way than on an operating table which would probably make very little difference
obv i understand you're in the greiving process and its just one of those things, but dont blame doctors jesus :/
anyway im getting whinged at for being disrespectful for being on the computer :/
remember the good times, my nan played 8 cards of bingo at her prime, amazing woman :*)
