according to the numbers I see, atletico averages 42,000 in a 58,000 seat stadium. showing up an hour or two before the gates open should work well enough.

I bought Sociedad tickets off a tout the morning of the match when I was over in June, cost me 60euro for tickets that are normally 40euro so not bad.

The ticket office said the game was sold out but there were quite a few empty seats about.

Try the ticket office first but a tout will always be there if needs be.
