Default Couple of laptop questions

I was looking into buying a laptop for uni, which I'd use for FM, internet, uni work and probably the odd other game if possible and a few DVDs. I found this:

Dell Vostro 1500
T7100 Core 2 Duo: 1.8GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB
160GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
2GB DDR2 RAM 667MHz
8x DVDRW
15.4" WXGA 1280x800
Integrated 2.0MP webcam and microphone
NVidia GeForce Go 8600M 256MB
53 WHr 6 cell "smart" Lithium Ion Battery
Integrated Dual-Band antenna (802.11 a/b), Integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 (802.11b/g) Mini PCI Wireless LAN card
Windows Vista Business

Now, that's all boxed and new and costs £630 (inc VAT) plus delivery. It seems like a pretty good deal to me so my first question is amI right in thinking this? Also, is Windows Vista Business okay for me as a typical home user?

Cheers!

That can't be right, I got better specs for £587, are you upgrading a low spec one yourself or something? Start with the highest spec 1500.

I would suggest using XP if you must use Windows. It seems a shame to waste all those new cpu cycles on such a waste of compiler time.

(I'm going over the top a little )

This is probably an extremely stupid question, but if I buy directly from Dell, do I actually have to have a 'small business' to buy a Vostro - or can anyone purchase them and just pay the VAT (despite them being under laptops for businesses)?

Nope, you can purchase them. Just make up a company name

Can't I get in trouble for that? Because if that's a risk I could probably get it sent to my girlfriend's dad's business if it's easier.
