Hi I'm new it was a time that I kept coming back and looking around, so now I joined, I'm Canadian and love photography, I have Photoshop CS and I manage fairly well but not 100%. So here is my question:

I found in Turorial:Curling a Chain of Photos Around an Object. which I find fantastic and with mountains of potential. So my question:
I have found 5 photos - all the same size
You say make a new document once you have your photos, and create a link...
sorry but you lost me here | , could you explain a bit ;\ please...

Thanks a million,
Ros

Ros,

theKeeper is taking a brief break for a camping trip. I'll make sure he sees your post when he returns shortly.

Cheers!

What version of Photoshop are you using? this might be useful for the info.

Also, this tutorial was not made by Mark, but by a fellow member.

You need fist to align the pictures in the other document.
Select the layers with the images, then get the move tool. In the option bar, you'll see an icon to align the layers.

To link layers, in Versions prior to CS2, click on the link icons of the layers (but not the background)

In CS2, you need to shift or control +click the layers, then click on the link icon in the layers palette.

Precisely, sPECtre. Hope that answered your question, rosana.

One other note: Since you have CS, you may find that the '3D Transform' filter is not in the filters list. This is because it is an 'extra' plug-in/filter that is on the CS install disk. I think it's in the 'goodies' folder. There is a read-me in there to tell you how to install it.
Feel free to ask any other questions. [righton]

Yup, and in CS2, you might try the warping tools instead of 3D transform...

Yeah, I did try the warp tools in CS2, but you don't get the same result. You can bulg it, and arc it but doesn't look as good. 3D trasform is the easiest and quikest way of doing it with great results.
I do wish in the next version of PS, they would put in a simple 3d transform mode for layers and text. } They something like that in other apps I've seen, in which you have x, y, and z axis handles so you can rotate and adjust perspective in a 3d enviorment. It's way easier than going 'perspective' then scaling down then rotating again then messing with it untill it looks realistic. [confused]
