Default US Dollar to GB Pound exchange rate

I'm off to New York for christmas, having just booked flights and hotel.

Now, the exchange rate for dollars is currently very good, interbank is showing 2.01 today.

So, do I buy my dollars now or wait? Anyone have the inside track on which way the dollar is heading?

Id say itd stay about the 2.0 give or take a few basis points. Cant see much in the market projections to suggest otherwise.

I'd do it now, just because the rate is so good. And as Kris says, it's not likely to change.

Might want to hold off for a little bit though, see where this subprime crisis and housing slump goes.

This is what I was thinking about, I'd read an article about it in the guardian but don't know enough about it to make a decent judgement call.

Will get my dollars on order, I think. Chars everyone

Buy half of what you intend to take now and wait and see how the other half goes rather than putting all your eggs in one basket. That way you'll be up a little bit no matter what way it goes.
