The Premier League is lucky we haven't yet become desperate enough to invoke a special ruling to win the League.

I remember cork were appealing cause FIFA wouldnt allow Colin Healy to play for them after they signed him, cause he had played for 2 previous clubs, in fact, i think he was injured when they signed him so he hadnt "played" for one of the other clubs, he had to sit out weeks iirc.
but i dont know the full details about that case, perhaps one of the other irish members can clear it up, but it was summat along those lines anyway.

| Short term loans shouldn't affect it as his registration isn't transferred. But I'm not sure...

And Didi Hamann </BLOCKQUOTE>
iirc Didi signed a pre-contract with Bolton, but never actually became a Bolton player. City paid them to rip up the pre-contract? hence him never actually starting his contract, and therefore never becoming a Bolton player?

Hamann's contract hadn't run out at Liverpool afaik, so he couldn't have signed a pre-contract with another club.
Almost positive he was either given a 2 year deal after the CL final in 2005, or he just had 2 years more to run anyway. Either way, he still had a year to run on his contract when we let him go.

Yea, but City had to pay Bolton compensation when they signed him - from Bolton.
