Basically as the title suggests, in my room I currently have the normal sky box on multiroom but am thinking of upgrading to either a Sky+ box or an HD one, just trying to decide if its worth spending the extra on HD just now?

With only a handful of HD channels at the moment, I'd wait until more channels become available and by then the box may be cheaper.

It's good and I don't regret paying full whack for the box for the World Cup in Germany although, if it is still £299, I would not pay that price.

To be honest, I actually watch less TV now I have the Sky HD box - I'll turn it on every couple of days and spend half of an hour just setting the programs I like to record...it's great, in that sense. ou'll end up watching a helluva lot more Discovery, National Geographic and History Channel stuff too.

Depending on how long you've been with sky you can get the hd box for £199 for a limited period. Was tempted, but a) i don't have a hd tv (not planning on getting one anytime soon), b) i barely watch tv apart from football so not much reason to get the box apart from being able to use the sky+ function.

Try independent electrical shops near you. I saw a shop near me doing sky HD with installation for £160 or £180.
Sky HD is worth it I find it hard going back watching SD football after experiencing HD football.

Thinking may just go for a Sky+ box then, not really sure its worth the extra £10 per month as well.
