Definitely worth it - 33p a day or thereabouts and the improvements in picture quality are immense if you have a decent HDTV.

Utter madness not to upgrade if you a HDTV IMHO.

If I bought a HD box off eBay, could I just plug it in, put my card in and ring Sky to get the HD subscription activated?

If you already have Sky + then yes, it is just a simple job of unscrewing the cables, putting them into the new box - ringing sky and you should be up and running no probs! :thup:

you wont get the sky plus capability out of it, as you need two connections from your dish, and you will only have one.

HD is all hype. The difference is noticeable but it's not as good as they'd have you believe. Only gullible tech heads with too much money would actually pay for it.

I couldn`t afford sky HD but now that sky have dropped the £10 subscription of sky+, i was thinking of getting it, is it worth getting and can you watch one digital while recording another?

If you have a quality set of kit then the difference in picture quality/sound is literally mind-blowing.

Sky Plus is defiantely worth it, you can record two things at the same time while watching something else, so yes is the answer to your other question.
