Tricks of the trade passed down to you by your father.
Was going to be self-indulgent and just talk about me, but I figure to kick some life into it I should also ask what, if anything, your father taught you?
My main thrust tonight is the glorious manner of keeping drinks cold when you don't have a fridge handy. This was taught to me in Spain this one, god bless the fact he was in the Navy
The trick itself? Well, it's 11.30pm and the parents (who regrettably I am temporarily forced to reside with) are asleep, I'm watching a film, I forgot there were adbreaks so I assumed I couldn't nip downstairs for a cold refill when I pleased. The solution? Bring two drinks up with you. One goes in your gullet. The other? Wrap in a blanket. 3 hours later, the thing is still delightfully ice cold. Oh how welcome.
Yeah it's straightforward basic "layers" thermos whatever bullshit, but I'd never have thought of using blankets to achieve sustained drinks coldness.
Here's to you, dear father

Depends what country I suppose, but using today as an example it's pretty chilly out and if my fridge wasn't 5 feet from me I'd be putting my beers out there.
