i wish they'd bloody stop, i'm fed up of the Typhoons scrambling at 6am every other day

who's idea was it to put the main squadron in Warton

Wonder how their fighters compare to the Typhoon...not heard of many new MiG's or Sukhoi's coming out although the old ones were darn sweet looking machines.

They're maritime patrol aircraft, with a 30 hour endurance rating at their most economical. All they do is search. They're not bombers in traditional sense.

tbh it's a bonus of them doing it- is a good exercise to keep our boys in uniform on their toes.

We've had one of the big Russian planes at a Farnborough airshow before.

Saw a Su-27 (I think) at Biggin Hill a few years back - absolutley awesome looking plane.
