It's not that bad if you're just departing or arriving, but it really is an awful place for flight connections. BA and BAA both have serious problems, especially when it comes to baggage.

Speaking from my own experiences transferring flights through Heathrow, I would say you do actually have enough time there to get through and make the connecting flight.

That's actually going to be really tight if you get held up coming through customs. Actually getting from Terminal 1 to Terminal 4 only need take about 15-20 minutes gate to gate if you move.

Heathrow is like a cattle market and British Airways staff are rude and unhelpful allegedly. I'm looking forward to it already \o/

I've flown BA through Heathrow 3 times in the last month, they are fine. I don't see why you need help anyway, you're old enough and I expect ugly enough to work out how to make a short journey between terminals yourself. Look at the time you're passing through and work it out, it will be virtually empty and you won't need to go through security with any bags surely? You're worrying over nothing ffs, millions of people use Heathrow for flight connections, what makes you so special that it will take longer than normal?
P.S. In case you have not noticed, I HATE people at airports complaining about times or 2 minute delays or changes to boarding gates. It's an airport ffs.

Actually I've never connected to another flight, so I made the assumption there that they'll transfer your bags for you but that's probably not true. Who cares, if you don't make it then Fat Bhoy Tim will cover the costs.
