Expect loads of daddy longlegs this year. The grub of the daddy Longlegs, which is a Leatherjacket always survives better under damp warm Autuns and wet warm springs, which is perfect this year and they reproduced in massive numbers.

They will be coming out in large numbers in the next couple of weeks and will be gone by the 3rd week in September.
