I dont see the problem with them, my only issue is that they aren't easy to guide outside the house so I end up having to kill them which I hate doing.

mate - come to Australia, then you'll have a reason to hate spiders. I don't mind daddy long legs, other than they might be food for huntsmens, funnel webs or red backs.

Google them for pictures, I'm too much of a scaredy cat.

I was about to get to bed last night when I noticed one of those huge spiders nestled on the edge of the pillow. Normally they just run around on the floor at high speed during Spring and Autumn.

Needless to say I ended up sleeping on the couch having sealed the room. I've still not go in there this morning

I don't normally mind spiders but these are those bigger ones that run at high speed. I've got a massive fear of waking up and having one on my face.

Keeping windows shut etc doesn't seem to help. I wonder if you can spread some kind of poision around the edge of the house to kill them dead?

Also why is is that you only ever got one a night? Is it also true that if I trap two of them and put them in a box together, they'll fight? And where the hell do they live normally? They don't seem to enjoy being inside at all. Just scuttle around trying to find a way out/attack a human.
