My Brilliant new idea for a sports management game.
After watching the IAAF world running thingies I have thought long and hard at how brilliant an athletics manager would be. I just think watching little dots run around track truely would be years of fun.
First thing first ok, well you choose a partcular country any of the 202 members of the IAAF and work your way through the year. At the start of the game have your national championships then work your way through the yearly program, ie commonwealth games, Olympics, IAAF world championships, Gold League, grand prixs etc. Youd be suprised even how the minnow countries have hectic schedules for instance.
The federated states of micronesia has the following:
National Titles
South Pacific games qualification
South Pacifc Games
Open Trials
Age group National titles
NZ grand Prix (top 2 from each event)
And the national season which is 4 meets.
Not too mention olympic and commonwealth games qualification. So it would still be fun from an LLM point of view.
The managing perspective, hire specific coaches for pole vault, sprinting endurance whatever. Set training schedules ie Weights, Technique, laps, spring training and have morning, afternoon and evening sessions.
Thats all I can think of right now, but I think it could be good.
Thanks, thoughts?
