Yeah, would agree Scholes ability to pick a pass is fantastic, especially the little through balls.

He's very good, but I'm not so sure he was ever a world beater in that way. I'm comparing him to the Zidanes here... as I'm saying Gerrard is probably about there in his own 'category'.

Actually, it's probably the vision/flair combo that I'm talking about... the ability to totally turn the pattern of play with something of unfathomable intuition. He didn't have that, I don't think.

Many English fans for some reason have always had a history of being completely unable to realise the brilliance of Scholes.

Incredibly frustrating and it seems to be specifically English fans that have this problem

My word - Smiley Dan seems to worse vision than Scholes if he thinks he's not a top attacking midfielder.
