they're both fb players. no point trying to say who's better because once you get to the level they are playing at it's more down to what the team needs and if they fit into it.

Depending on someone doesnt make you better. You either have the talent and abiilties to fill the role or not really

You cant chuck an average footballer in a side that everyone plays through and he'll be as good and effective as Gerrard

As for the Question it's a tough one. Being Liverpool of course I will always argue Gerrard but Scholes was/is a fantastic player and was a dominant presense in Uniteds midfield.
