I love you nelly.

Anyway, yeah, I dont have much of a problem with them boeing Bentley if they dont like what he did (personally I dont blame him for looking after his career though it does show a certain side of him). Its boeing people like Hargreaves and Lampard, as much as I hate the fat bastard, thats absolutely retarded.

As he's quite entitled to do. Blackburn pay his wages, not England.

You what? You don't have to earn the right to not be booed. If the Hargreaves scenario proves anything, it's how horribly misguided and vicious the mindless masses can be.

erm yeh?

No idea what relevance that has but if we were both in war I'd like to be right behind you in "Operation Human Shield".

Re: Milner v Bentley

Milner played over 50 games for Newcastle last season. He then went on to play for England U21’s and went straight into the new season. While fans can go on about his determination, he’s looked tired in our first bunch of games and will probably need to be rested at some point. If he hadn’t played for England there’s a good chance he wouldn’t look so tired after 60mins.

Bentley might get a bit stick for pulling out, but fair play to him for having the awareness of knowing what’s best for himself and his club. No doubt fans will get on Milner’s back when his form starts slipping because he’s knackered, but the fans will just see him as being lazy.

Re: Booing your own players.

Kind of tricky because while I’ve never done it myself and don’t think I ever will, sometimes there are occasions where it gets the message across.

At the end of last season Bramble’s contract was expiring and there was talk of renewing it. He was substituted in a game and booed off the pitch. He was released soon afterwards, so if the booing made it clear the fans didn’t want him to stay, then I’m all for it. I’m sure club managers / chairman look around to find out the opinion of fans, but having several hundred / thousand booing makes sure the message gets across.

Don’t think Bentley deserved booing though. Didn’t hear anything against Neville, but if anyone did boo him he didn’t deserve it.

Chelsea fans booed Drogba at the end of the season before last. Seems he either got the message or just turned superb all by himself during pre-season last year.
