It still makes Bentley look as if he can't be arsed with playing for England, as if it's a chore or something.
Yeah because every player, nay human being, in the world is identical. Simpleton. </BLOCKQUOTE>

booing ftl

never done it. never will.

partly because, even if I wanted too, I'd feel stupid .. but mainly because it just seems rubbish and summed up by the England fans revelling in it.

Think Bentley's a good player but i think he was perfectly justifiable in his decsion not to play for the U21's. I just think he should have told the Pearce straight instead of lying about fatigue.

"I have been capped by the senior team and i am far too good for the U21 team. I want to be playing consistently in the first team so i am going to show how eager i am to break into the side by missing out on a pointless tournament that means nothing and nobody cares about."

I don't think he handled it in the best way but ffs it's his choice who he plays for. Fans will boo people who don't have "English lionheart passion" because they are stupid. And would Rooney have played for the U21's after he had his first call up? Doubtful...

To boo Neville is out of line. He tries his best every game, does all his talking on the pitch, and i can only see the booing happening because these yobbish fans think a better player should be out there.

Yobbish England fans = Read the Sun :thdn:

I'm not quick to put our own players down, but I booed the entire Dutch team once. ƒ45 for a ticket (which was quite an amount back then - in those days you could see a home match at NEC (Eredivisie every second year ) for ƒ5!) and they manage to win 1-0, through a fake penalty against Malta. This was Oranje with Rijkaard, Gullit, van Basten, Koeman etc. etc.

The entire stadium thanked them for that 'effort' with boos and jeers and rightfully so.

At the moment I'd be inclined to boo Mark van Bommel at the first mistake or dirty foul he makes, if he'd ever get called up again. Arsehole of the worst kind, dirty and clumsy at that and absolutely useless in Oranje.

Bentley actually reckons he has a chance of getting in the Euro 2008 squad if we get that, i dont think Milner has much of a chance.

I'm amazed the average fan knew what was going on with the Under 21s tbh

No chance the average england fan could work that out.

yeah why not boo Bentley? hes a ****. He put himself before his country and if we were at war would we stand for that? Football is like a big war, so therefore Bentley let us down in a war.
