Why do fans boo their own players?

The Bentley booing got me quite aggitated last night. Just shows the level of intelect of the average england fan. deciding to jump on the bandwagon cos they think he did wrong, because its what the daily mirror say.

Probably because the only notable thing Phil Neville has done for England was give away that penalty against Romania.

as for the thread title, pretty simple as far as this case is concerned - England fans are morons. i think even the average big brother eviction crowd has a higher average IQ than your typical england crowd at wembley.

Clearly backed up by the england fan who appeared on the tv yesterday with the word 'GRANDMA' tatooed on his arm. we presumed he got drunk and misspelt grandmaster.

I wouldn't boo any of the players on my team. Boumsong is a great example of a player I really like and want to do well so cheer him on.

I wasn't trying to justify booing Phil Neville, there's never an excuse to boo your own players. I'm just saying why people have a perception of him being useless at international level, because that's the first notable thing that springs to mind.

bentley showed lack of respect for the national set-up. he got the same in return. booing neville just a nonsense.
