Surely it won't be 4 hours after lunch if you finish at 5 anyway, if you go at the end of your lunch break it's gonna be 3 and half hours if you have half an hour lunch or just 3 hours if you have an hour for lunch.

Why don't you go to the toilet before they shut the water off, then go somewhere for Lunch that has a toilet and then just use that while you're there.
Surely you don't need to go to the toilet that much during the day?
| Lunch is 1pm so i will have to go 3 hours without going to the toilet followed by another 4 hours after lunch. Which will also mean i wont be able to drink any fluids during the day or even eat any lunch in case nature calls. And ironically enough the female boss (who's in her 50s) normally goes to the toilet about twice an hour </BLOCKQUOTE>
You can manage for three hours surely? As for the four hours after lunch? I'm guessing you mean half hour for lunch and then working til 5:30? If so - why not inform your boss that you're popping out after two hours or so to go find a toilet nearby you can use?

| Nah f**k that, they said 6 so we're buying 6 and when we've run out of water an hour later then we'll see what they say then. Although the secretary has only just gone out to buy them and the water's getting turned off in 20 mins..... </BLOCKQUOTE>
FFS. Common sense dictates that if 6 isn't enough you buy more. And I bet if you and your colleagues used just enough water each time that the 6 would last. This lazy lay about culture within which everyone knows their rights and none of their responsibilities is sickening.

| Supposed to be an hour for lunch but rarely take it, usually eat my sarnies at my desk and take half hour max.
Usually i drink a lot of fluids at work so i do go to the toilet at least once an hour. Now ive just had my last drink of the day \o/

Common sense has nothing to do with it, we're just following orders  And we've been without water before (only for an hour or so, not all day like this) and we know in some instances it takes more than one bucket of water to wash down the, urm, excrement.

Following orders that you know are wrong and can be easily rectified using common sense. Of course it is to do with common sense.
