No Munaf Patel or Pathan either.

Plus we haven't got a coach sorted after Ford turned us down.

Yep, he did quite well on the last tour too. I don't rate Powar at all (and he does look like a comedy figure) but he hasn't done too badly on the occasions he's played.

Is Flintoff going to be back for any of the tests against us?

Should be back for the second and third tests from what I've heard, maybe even the first.

I hope not, he needs to rest so he can be fit for the winter.

RR - if it meant he was going to be fully fit in the future, then yes, would be fantastic if he worked on getting his injury/fitness 100% before he came back.

Unfortunately I don't think that will happen.

Why is it not possible for England to find a Glenn Macgrath?
We have lots of very quick bowlers who ping it all over the shop, why not just train one of them to drop a couple yards and instead concentrate on placing the ball in the right place?
Is it really that difficult to do?
If it was as easy as the likes of McGrath, Walsh and Ambrose made it look, they wouldn't have been that special?

OK, I admit that is true.
But in respect to our bowlers, raw pace is a great asset to have, but if it is not backed with any accuracy then it is wasted.
Mahmood could easily lose a few yards, still be quick and have the control as well. Ditto for Harmison.
The easiest way to get wickets and to keep the RR down is to bowl straight and true.
It seems our bowlers don't adhere to that belief.

Anyone seen the hatchet job they've tried to do on Vaughan in today's paper?
