Cricinfo is awesome:

Slips one, two three?). Every dot ball's like survival (survival), bowl straight balls, man, not just wide ones."

This is embarrassing. Should just call it a draw now and be done with it. The only reason to continue is to try and get Monty his 10wm and that's not going to happen.

England have delayed the announcement for the squad again

Obviously so scared of upsetting people by dropping them if they're not fit.

England selectors really starting to **** me off now.

There is absolutely no way that Vaughan deserves to walk back into the side, and shunting Bell down to 6 to accomodate him is daft, not to mention how badly I feel for Shah knowing that the last test was his only shot.

Similarly Flintoff doesn't merit a place as an all-rounder at the minute. He should only be selected if he can take a full workload as part of a four man attack.

Drop them both to County cricket, let them get some form, and draft in someone to cover for Hoggard in an otherwise unchanged side.

And sign up Allan Donald to remind Harmison what those five bits of wood at either end of the pitch are, and to try to scare some consistency into one or more of Plunkett, Anderson, Mahmood, Tremlett, Broad and Onions.

Someone please tell me Simon Jones is going to be fit again soon...

Yeah, that's my thinking, but they're obviously going to include Vaughan and possibly Flintoff as well. It's utter turd if you ask me.

If Broad was fit id have him in like a shot tbh, but sadly he isnt. Maybe worth giving Onions a go, something new & all as we all know how rank Mahmood is & how inconsistant Jimmey is.

Radio is reporting there will be a "shock name" in the squad for 4pm, sounds quite promising - mon Onions.
