Default Bars in Newcastle

Im looking to book somewhere decent for my 21st for about 100ish people in newcastle. I cannot think of anywhere decent besides the obvious Apartment and Stereo. Anyone recommend me somewhere decent that doesnt smell of wee, and drinks arent that expensive?

Does the Cooperage still allow you to book the upstairs for private venues? Had a Christmas party there once and it was great.

Apparently you can book out the Bridge or the Clooney (sp). Never tried them though so couldn't tell you what they're like.

There's also Tiger Tiger (supposed to be a bit ropey) and possibly Blue Beyond (in the Gate so probably pants).

Cluny is a bit of a distance from the centre and The Gate is baws.

Cooperage probably the best.

I’ve never been to Tiger Tiger. Thought that was pretty clear.

Pravda used to have a private bit upstairs but think it was shut down. Not sure if it’s been reopened as anything else as it’s been a while I’ve been that far down.

The Telegraph has a private bar as well. Not sure how many it holds though or how long it's open until.
