I had no real opinion of Grame LeSaux before reading that, I think he's brilliant now. It's so true, I love football bu the lad culture that goes with it absolutely does my head in. When I go up to Utd games I sit on the supporters coach for a good 6 or 7 hours on the way up just having to listen to utterly neanderthal comments from the majority of the others on the coach. Racism, sexism, homophobia it's all so plain to see in the game and it's really rubbish.

I admire Le Saux. God bignoting himself in his books really is no suprise.
Glad he didnt come to Australia, he would have had to deal with Sydneys huge gay community.

As a youngster I used to idolise Le Saux, I was a left back and he played with a certain style and always looked composed. I felt he was victimised at times.
This shouldn't be a part of football, homophobia is no better than racism, neither is it any worse. It's on the same level of disgrace.
I'm sad to hear Le Saux had to put up with so much grief but atleast it's over now. Tbh he could have done more with his career had he stayed injury-free. Didn't he end up at Southampton in the end?

what a gay footballer said about Le Saux; He was a good player, he knew how to handle balls, he could always slot it into a tight gap when needed, loved a nice tackle, the way he dribbled on the ball was nice, he loved to recieve it in any poistion and the way he'd shoot was one of his best assets. |

Makes me respect Le Saux alot more. He said himself that he should have laughed off the inital accusations, because we all know what its like when you tease someone because their reactions entertaining!
That doesn't make it okay though, its out of order what he had to put up with, blatent bullying.
Any of you guys having a go at Le Saux are morons really.

| Pretty much summed up there. I remember when the whole 'Mido' debate was going on on one of the Newcastle forums, one of the 'Toon' fans stated that "there was football before Sky" in defence of the xenophobic chanting.
Really are some freaking idiots out there.

| Nail on head. I stopped going to matches a long time ago because of it, and even avoided going to pubs or bars depending on the usual crowd.
