MAF is a fugging idiot btw.
Back in the day when I did a stint at Harrods, I worked in the sports section, which was right next to his offices. As the first people he saw we had to stand to attention when he did he daily walkabout.
We were also under strict instructions not to talk to him unless he addressed us first (very much akin to the Queen).
I'm sure we would've been expected to salute if he asked!!
