ghosting (streaky) screen?

ive had my monitor for about 9 months and now theres really bad streaking across it, such as text and icons appearing to kind of repeat and fade to the right of where it should be. is there anything i can do to stop this?

Get it replaced under warranty?

would i need the receipt to replace it under warranty (proof of how old it is)? if so, i dont know if i still have it or not

or a bank statement with payment for the monitor on it. They'll sometimes accept them rather than a receipt
