| Yeah your right, it isn't "proper music", it's tab. I'm self taught and just having trouble translating the chords in the tabbed notes.

Not technically, he didn't specify if it was A# major or A# minor, although it would be safe to assume its major if he was reading it off a chord sheet. Could always just play the lowest 3 strings to make it an A#5 power chord if you aren't entirely sure.

For reference, use ultimate-guitar.com if you are using chord sheets - it automatically shows the chord tab when you hover over each chord, especially handy for more unusual shapes/chords.

I don't have my guitar with me so I can't check for certain (also my music theory is basically useless) but I think you'll be looking at the chords being:
B, Am, E, Gm, F, A#m, C# (1st time)/A (2nd time)

depends, it's fairly easy to pick up the basics quickly if you enjoy it and put in a couple of hours practice each day
