so, not really a website, and I'm not sure if this has been done before on here, but here goes: create your own festival. one rule: you can't reunite bands or reincarnate bandmembers. contemporary bands/musicians only.
I'll start off:
9pm: the samuel jackson five. great band to start off a night; atmospheric, jazzy guitar instrumentals to get everyone in the mood. they're only aloud to play tracks from their easily misunderstood album though.
10pm: low. again, a great band, this time it's with vocals and pretty much amazing lyrics. I'll go with a playlist coming from things we lost in the fire, the great destroyer, trust and long division, all brilliant albums. they simply HAVE to end with sunflower.
11pm: do make say think. coming to the climax of the evening: canada based do make say think are my favorite band by miles. not having seen them live yet pretty much means I've failed in life so far, that's how deeply I'm in love with this band. again, great spheric guitarmusic, with a touch of jazzy class in the drums and bass.
12pm: boards of canada. to seal the night with a nice, chilled out set. if I remember correctly, they never play live, so that'll be a first. pretty much anything is aloud for playlist, they just have to make sure to play a lot from geogaddi and music has the right to children. you know what, I'll just let them play those two albums completely.
so there you go, my festival is based upon two rather important supporting beams: being able to sit on my arse, preferably in a couch or sofa, and being able to smoke some weed without that being a handicap in terms of enjoying the shows. people who dance, make noise or sing along are herefore banned from my very own festival.
