Was in my local town of Colchester walking away from one of the main venues, "The Hippodrome", when I saw Celeb Chef Keith Floyd outside a book shop talking to a tramp at about 1am in the morning.
Have had it confirmed that it definitely was him because he was doing something locally that night. His grandson also got chucked out of the Hippo for verbally abusing some girls. Oh dear!
i also asked "cannon" from "cannon and ball" for directions in blackpool about 15 years ago.
and possibly the biggest "feather in my cap" was seeing puff daddy or p-diddy or whatever he was called at the time, in new york. looked him up and down, gave him a look of disgust and walked passed him.
