Yeah maybe, must be a reason why I have been listening to more Bach recently...
I used to tell people that I liked music/bands that offered something new or different from the norm.
Now it like when theres a trend of a certain style of music and lots of bands seem to pop up everywhere, everyone gives them hype, saying that each one is amazing and how they're doing something new. When really, to my knowledge anyway, they're not. It just seems like every new band is either trying to be a carbon copy of a bands thats been around for two seconds.
I remember commenting on Fightstar a while ago to someone by saying "Oh Fighstar are kind of like a watered down version of Hundred Reasons when they first came out". To which she replied something about they cant be compared because his voice sounds different or something stupid like that.
I do have to contradict myself and admit that I do like certain bands because they remind me or sound like other bands I like.
