Default Pasta with a mushroom sauce

Basically I have some pasta and some mushrooms that need eating up. Does OTF know any good simple mushroom sauces out there. I don't want a creamy sauce as I generally can't stand them and was just thinking something along the lines of mushrooms fried in olive oil mixed into the pasta.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Daaaaave you have to remember that I am a massive cooking noob. Marinating sounds like too much work/complications. Marinate in what? For how long? argh I need my Italian housemate back from work

#1 google hit for marinated mushrooms translated for cooking n00bs.

cut the stems off 1 1/2 lbs of mushrooms
simmer in boiling water for 15 minutes
drain
in a separate bowl, combine 1/4c olive oil, 1 tsp thyme, 1 tsp salt, 3 tbsp lemon juice, 3 tbsp parsley, 3 tsp minced garlic, 1/2 tsp black pepper. whisk it together.
add mushrooms and toss.
cover and refrigerate. 2 hours good. overnight better.

you're basically making a vinaigrette.

you see I need food now. I think I'll just go with frying some mushrooms in garlic and olive oil and tossing them in with some pasta.

Will keep that marinading malarky in mind though.

I'm in a similar position.

Except both the pasta and mushroom sauce are microwavable.

I've really gone off pre-prepared food these last few years, but they're going off and I'm hungry.
