Suuuuuuuuuper (Dooper) Man- Routh looked far too camp (but that was obvious from the promotional stills) oh and he cant act
but tbh the fact Spacey is woeful should tell you enough

Best part of the film was Parker Posey, Kevin Spacey was dire. Brandon Routh was decent enough as Superman; but rubbish as Clark Kent.
Tom Welling ftw.

Short and sweet? Spiderman films? Buh?
Thought Superman was OK. Nothing more nothing less. Forgot 90% of it as soon as it had finished, but I wasn't sat there for the duration thinking it was anything particularly bad.

Where they went wrong was trying to tie it in to the previous Superman films. It's a sequel to Superman 2.
Would have been far better to have taken the lead from Batman Begins than anything else - Map out a story arc that could work for one film that could then lead on to two or more sequels and work out what the fans of the comics would kinda like to see and try and find a way of doing it.
Not all that difficult if you get the right people involved early on.

I bought it, watched half of it, slept through the other half, put it back in it's case and hid it somewhere so I'm not tempted to try again.

I kept looking at my watch and considered leaving several times. That rarely ever happens to me when watching a movie.

I actually thought Parker Posey was poor aswell or maybe that was just the over cliched character she was playing.

Short and sweet in terms of stories. I thought Superman's was overly drawn out and a bit silly seeing as they had all those comics to draw stories from. It went on and on and on ...
