Manager breaks rival teams assistant manager with headbutt
I dont know if this has been posted but I did a search and coudn't find it and surprised it has not got more media attention.
Rushden and Diamonds were playing Salisbury away and winning 1-0 untill around the 90th miniute where Salisbury got a late equaliser.
I think there was a 21 man brawl during the game and at the end the diamonds manager Garry Hill headbutted Tommy Widdrington the Salisbury assistant manager and broke his nose.
The incident was captured on camera and police are looking at it and peforming an investigation.
I am surprised that Rushden and Diamonds have not suspended their manager at the very least instead they issued this statement
Club Officials are currently in the process of examining all evidence following the incidents surrounding their 1-1 draw with Salisbury City at the weekend. Chairman, Keith Cousins, comments: "The Club have been made aware of a number of incidents that occurred at Saturday's match and we are investigating those incidents with the relevant interested parties. Once we have looked at all the evidence, we will, of course, release a further statement accordingly".
They only said that after fans complained and said at how shocked they were at their own managers actions.
Happened at York v Woking last year. Our assistant Matt Crossley allegedly headbutted a York player, and all hell broke loose. Two York subs and Crossley were dismissed.
Garry Hill is a **** though. And Ru$hscum will forever be a plastic club in a plastic ground.

That's bragging, which disqualifies him for LLM immediately.

Manager breaks rival teams assistant manager with headbutt Post #10
It is only called Rushden and Diamonds because Rushden were in a higher league the cub has nothing to do with Rushden.
Lost count of the number of times people have stopped me on a Saturday in their car thinking the stadium is close by as they are in Rushden
