State of Play - very well made. Has the same actor from Life on Mars and the guy who wrote Shameless and Clocking off
Cracker - I saw it for the first time this year. It was as good as current day crime shows.
the Poliakoff dramas (Shooting the past, Perfect strangers) - He uses old black and white photographs and constructs a family drama around them
Brideshead revisited - This is a well known series. I liked it.
My library had a few older british shows on DVD.
Edge of Darkness - I liked. An old thriller with good characters.
Singing Detective - I never really got into it. I never emphasised with the main character. Maybe I am too young to appreciate it
Boys from the Blackstuff - It was ok. But did not resonate with me as someone from the era
Ascent of man - Interesting documentary series. Made me appreciate the basis of civilization. And all the inventions and technological progress.
