I have to get a crime reference number from the police before I can claim on insurance.

I'm gonna be really stupid and ask: Do i dial 999, or is there another number i have to call?

I didn't back anything up, lost all those numbers

I've also got quite a few rudey pictures of the missus on it and I expect to see them on the *** shortly.

oh and you generally go into your local station to get the crime reference number so guess it would be ringing them for one.

ring your local station, dont ring 999. Although that would be funny

If you lost it you need a lost number, not a crime number. I got caught out with that.

999 is only for emergencys. Most police stations have their own number so find and call that.

Or just go to the police station and report it if its close to you.

I wouldn't bother going to the station, when I tried that they told me they couldn't do it person I had to phone up

Do you live in London Bliss? My mate who's in the Met deals with 999 calls, would love it if he raced to yours with his sirens expecting a mass murder or something on only to be greeted at the door with you and your ive lost your mobile phone sad face

yea i live in London.

I'm devistated, i really am. Me and Sammy have been together for 16 months.. no he's gone.

actually i think he was stolen tbh, i'm sure i put him in my bag, as i got off the bus the zip for my bag was open, and there was no phone. Luckily enough they didn't steal my keys, on which i have my USB key with all my bank account details (stupid... yes it is)
